The Douglas Forest Protective Association will be conducting Live Fire Training for its South Unit on Thursday.

Public Information Officer Rachel Pope said smoke may be visible in the area near Gazley Road in Canyonville from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pope said the smoke may also be seen from Interstate Five and the Tri-City area.

Training in the same area will likely be conducted next week as well.
