The Roseburg office of the Oregon Department of Human Services has its First Thursday event outside for the summer.
It will take place July 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in front of the ODHS office on West Harvard Avenue.
It is a monthly gathering of community resources all in one place, ready to serve those in need. Resources will include:
*Feeding Umpqua, the Oregon State University Extension Service and Thrive Umpqua will provide fresh produce, healthy recipe samples and information about local health and wellness opportunities
*Prenatal and postnatal maternity services from Hope Clinic for Women and Safe Haven Maternity Home
*Free gently-used clothing and shoes for men, women and children
*Dental Screenings for adults and children provided by Mercy Foundation and CHI Mercy Medical Center
*Worksource Oregon with employment services, support services, job search help and training resources
Close to forty organizations will be on-site. There will be family-friendly activities like cornhole, games, face painting, cotton candy, popcorn and more.
