This is America’s Independence Day and that means there are a number of closures.
Federal, state, county, and city offices are not open. Regular mail will not be delivered. Banks and credit unions are closed for the day. Professional offices are closed. Many retail stores will be open though some will be operating on reduced hours.
Independence Day commemorates the Declaration of Independence, which was ratified by the Second Continental Congress on July 4,1776, establishing the United States of America.
