There are a number of fireworks shows scheduled around the county for the July 4th holiday, though one of them already took place.

The third annual Winston Area Independence Day Festival was held Saturday. That included a parade, live entertainment and fireworks shot off from near Riverbend Park.

Roseburg has the Roseburg Honda Hometown Fourth of July Fireworks Show at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. The event begins with a car show from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Auto races on the Douglas County DIrtrack begin at 5:30 p.m. The fireworks hit the sky at 10:00 p.m. with choreographed patriotic music. Those who can see the show from their home can listen to the soundtrack on News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN, and on Best Country 103. Parking at the fairgrounds will be $10 per vehicle. There is an additional charge to see the auto races.

North Douglas County Betterment kicks off Tuesday with a parade at Yoncalla High School. Events at Yoncalla Community Park from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. will include camel rides, a watermelon eating contest, ice cream social and more. Live music, food vendors and games will be happening at the high school. The fireworks show begins around 10:00 p.m.

In Glendale, the Cow Creek Community Association has a fireworks show as part of a day of activities at Memorial Park off Pacific Avenue, across from the post office.
