A 43-year old man was charged with fourth-degree assault on Wednesday, by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

A DCSO report said at 5:00 p.m. a deputy responded to an address in the 100 block of East B Avenue in Drain after a caller said there was a disturbance. During the investigation, the deputy learned that the 43-year old had allegedly punched a victim in the back of the head and face on Tuesday.

There were injuries to both people. The injuries on the victim, met the criteria of assault. The suspect was taken to jail where he was detained without bail. He was released on Thursday. The man arrested did not wish to pursue charges against the other person.
