Oregon State Police have confirmed that a fatal accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian took place Saturday night on Interstate Five south of Roseburg.

Captain Kyle Kennedy told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that no further information is currently available. Kennedy said OSP is working to identify the deceased individual.

That accident took place in the southbound lanes of the freeway, approximately one mile south of the Douglas County Fairgrounds exit at about 10:20 p.m.
