Roseburg Police jailed a man after he was allegedly caught breaking into vehicles on Saturday night.

An RPD report said just before 11:30 p.m. officers contacted 28-year old Kendall Sweet at Lithia Dodge at the corner of Northwest Mulholland Drive and Northeast Airport Road. Officers recognized the man as the suspect in an earlier case at Roseburg Honda regarding similar events. During the first incident, Sweet allegedly drove one of the vehicles in the lot a short distance before leaving it parked.

Sweet was charged with unlawful use of a vehicle, two counts of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and for second-degree criminal mischief. He was detained without bail.
