A Roseburg man was jailed for an alleged theft at a business on Wednesday.

A Roseburg Police report said at about 2:00 p.m. an employee at a business in the 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard called and said a shoplifter had left the store. The 39-year old suspect was located nearby and fit the description given by the business. He admitted to the theft and was taken to corrections.

The man was charged with third-degree theft. Bail was set at $1,000.
