Roseburg Police jailed a man after the alleged theft of a sink fixture from the Douglas County Courthouse on Thursday.

An RPD report said the incident occurred just before 11:00 a.m. The value of the faucet and replacement exceeded $1,000. The 31-year old Canyonville man also reportedly threw a considerable amount of trash on the ground outside the courthouse, in the 1000 block of Southeast Douglas Avenue.

The suspect was charged with first-degree theft and for offensive littering. He was jailed on $7,500 bail.
