Roseburg Police jailed a woman for alleged shoplifting early Thursday.

An RPD report said at 2:30 a.m. the 51-year old from Springfield was observed allegedly stealing merchandise at Sherm’s Thunderbird in the 2500 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. An officer collected the stolen items and took the suspect into custody without incident. She was detained without bail and was released later in the morning.
