WANTED MAN ALLEGEDLY ATTEMPTS TO ESCAPE, JAILED ON FRIDAY

A wanted man allegedly attempted to escape, and was jailed on Friday.

A Roseburg Police report said shortly after 9:30 a.m. an officer contacted 33-year old Aaron Moody-Hernandez near the corner of Northeast Kerr Street and Northeast Kerr Avenue, knowing the man was wanted by his parole officer. Moody-Hernandez allegedly tried to get away and resisted being taken into custody. He was taken to the ground by the officer and was detained.

During a search of his person, Moody Hernandez reportedly was found to have a spring assisted knife in his pocket. He was charged with being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon, resisting arrest and for a parole violation. Moody-Hernandez was detained without bail.
