CITY COUNCIL TO VOTE ON BUDGET ADOPTION

The Roseburg City Council will vote on adopting the budget for the 2024 fiscal year as part of a busy agenda during Monday night’s meeting.

The total budget is just over $104 million. A public hearing will be held before a vote on the proposal is made.

A public hearing will also be held on an ordinance amending the Roseburg Urban Area Comprehensive Plan by adopting the 2023 Bike Routes Plan.

Councilors will vote on whether to authorize the transfer of $50,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funds to provide cash flow assistance for the Off-Street Parking Fund. A vote will also be taken authorizing City Manager Nikki Messenger to execute the updated Urban Service Agreement with Douglas County and the Umpqua Basin Water Association outlining responsibilities for serving specific areas within the City’s Urban Growth Boundary with domestic water.
