Roseburg Police jailed a man after an alleged assault incident on Sunday.

An RPD report said just after 9:00 p.m. officers responded to the 1700 block of Southeast Mill Street when a caller said the 22-year old was assaulting a victim.

The man had allegedly shoved the victim into the wall, causing substantial pain to her left arm. He also reportedly threw a computer chair at her while she was on the ground. The victim was later transported by ambulance to CHI Mercy Medical Center due to her injuries.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident and charged with fourth-degree assault. He was detained on $5,000 bail.
