Roseburg Police jailed a man for trespass and for sex offender registration charges Saturday morning.

An RPD report said at 5:45 a.m. officers contacted the 44-year old in a room at the Adapt Motel in the 500 block of Southeast Stephens Street. The manager had called and said someone was still in the room after being evicted. It was determined that the suspect had not registered as a sex offender since January of 2022.

He was charged with first-degree criminal trespass and failure to report as a sex offender. The man was detained without bail.
