Crews from the Glide Rural Fire Protection District and Douglas Forest Protective Association responded to an estimated two to three-acre fire located in slash and timber, about nine miles southeast of Glide in the Thunder Mountain area on Wednesday afternoon.

DFPA Public Info Officer Rachael Pope said the Thunder Mountain Fire was called in at about 4:30 p.m. Pope said an initial attack included a tender, a dozer, and several engines. As of late Wednesday, no structures or homes were threatened by the fire. More information is expected later Thursday from DFPA.
