Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged assault incident on Thursday evening.

An RPD report said at 8:20 p.m. officers responded after a caller said an adult was hitting a juvenile in the 400 block of Northwest Cecil Avenue. The incident was caught on surveillance cameras in the area. The adult was identified as a 35-year old man.

The suspect was contacted following the incident and charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and third-degree assault. He was detained without bail.
