A North Bend man was jailed for DUII after an alleged day drinking trip on Monday.
An Oregon State Police report said just before 4:45 p.m. the man’s sedan was spotted parked on the shoulder of Highway 42, about four miles west of Camas Valley and a witness believed he was unconscious. Medical units responded and determined that the driver was intoxicated.
When a trooper arrived, the man admitted to have been drinking throughout the day as his trip took him through various coastal towns. He consented to standard field sobriety tests but became agitated during the tests. He was placed in custody and later provided a blood alcohol breath sample of .11.
Bail was set at $10,000.
