A Canyonville woman was jailed for alleged weapon violations by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Sunday afternoon.

A DCSO report said at 3:10 p.m. the woman called law enforcement advising that someone was trespassing on her property in the 300 block of Surprise Avenue in Canyonville. The two people argued and the woman retrieved a firearm from her residence. The 38-year old allegedly returned with the firearm and fully extended it at the victim. The man said he was in fear for his life.

The woman was charged with pointing a firearm at another and for menacing. She was detained without bail and was released on Monday.
