Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation after an alleged incident in the downtown area Saturday night.

The RPD report said at 11:30 p.m. the 38-year old was allegedly seen falling over at a store in the 700 block of Southeast Jackson Street. Officers contacted the man who was reportedly visibly intoxicated. His parole officer asked that he be detained for violating his stipulations. He was also cited for drinking in public.

The suspect was detained without bail.
