BUSY COUNCIL AGENDA FOR MONDAY NIGHT MEETING

May 22, 2023 3:40 a.m.

It looks like a busy agenda for the Roseburg City Council at its Monday night meeting.

Mayor Larry Rich is expected to explain his decision not to read a proclamation in support of Pride Month requested by the LGBTQ+ community. Council notes indicate that Rich also will not read a proclamation requested by Wellspring Bible Fellowship.

Public hearings will be held regarding closing out a COVID-19 Emergency Small Business and Microenterprise Grant Assistance project, for the sale of real property on Southeast Leland Street and for a resolution to purchase and install a radio system for use by police, fire and public works.

Councilors will vote on resolutions making fee adjustments for city services, and on changes for parks rules and regulations.

The council will have second reading of ordinances on prohibited camping and for a telecommunications franchise.

Other items are on the agenda.

The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. It can be seen at the city’s Facebook page or viewed later at: www.cityofroseburg.org.
