In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

The Umpqua Valley Youth Orchestra will be presenting a spring concert on Tuesday May 30th at 7:00 p.m. in the Jacoby Auditorium at Umpqua Community College.

The concert is free and family-friendly. It will consist of over one hundred students ages six and older performing on violins, violas, cellos, and string basses.

UVYO has five class levels and will include musical selections by Telemann, Holst, Bartok and selections by Indiana Jones. The concert will also feature guest soloist Jaron Cannon, playing the first movement of the Haydn Piano Concerto in D major.
