Roseburg Public Schools Superintendent Jared Cordon has reacted to the failure of the bond levy proposal that was on the Special Districts Election ballot.
Cordon said, “Thank you to everyone who voted in the May 16 election and to those who supported the school bond. Unfortunately, the bond did not pass and the proposed projects will not be completed”.
Cordon said, “I would like to assure our students, staff and families that we remain committed to making our school buildings as safe as possible. We will continue to use the security measures we have implemented in recent years and we will continue to maintain our schools to the best of our ability”.
The Roseburg School Board will discuss next steps at its meeting on May 24th.
