Unofficial Preliminary Results for the May 2023 Special Districts Election include these contested races:

Douglas Mendenhall leads Kat Stone 57.4 percent to 41.9 for the Position 1 seat on the Umpqua Public Transportation District Board

Michaela Hammerson leads Jim De Lap 53.3 percent to 46 percent for the Position 2 seat on that board

Tom Trotter is ahead of Steve Hammerson 52.7 percent to 46.6 percent for the Position 3 seat on that board

Tom Dole is in the lead in the Zone 1 seat on the Douglas Education Service District Board of Directors. Dole has 46.3 percent to 38.7 percent for Meredith Blass and 13.8 percent for Celia Vander Velden

Chris Rusch has a narrow lead over Barbara Crawford in the race for the Position 2 At-Large seat on the board. Rusch has 49.6 percent while Crawford has 49.2 percent
