Movies in the Park will be happening Friday nights in June.

A City of Roseburg release said cosponsored by Roseburg Parks and Recreation and Rogue Credit Union, the free series will be held at the Nichols Band Shell in Stewart Park during the first four evenings in June.

Each week, pre-movie entertainment is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. A PG-rated movie will start at dusk, right around 9:00 p.m. Popcorn and other snacks will be available to purchase. Families can bring their own food and drinks but alcoholic beverages are not allowed.

Parks and Recreation Coordinator Tracy Moser said “We’re excited to offer a free event this summer to people looking for something fun to do together as a family”.

This summer’s featured movies will be:

*June 2nd: The Bad Guys

*June 9th: The Rise of Gru

*June 16th: DC League of Super-Pets

*June 23rd: Puss in Boots: The Last Wish

All movies and activities are weather-permitting and subject to change. Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Tobacco use is not allowed in Roseburg’s parks. Dogs are not permitted.
