16.88 percent of local voters have cast a ballot in the May Special Districts Election, as of late Monday.

County Clerk Daniel Loomis said the 14,807 ballots that have been received is just slightly higher that the participation rate for the same point in the May Special Districts Election in 2021.

Loomis said Tuesday is the election deadline. Those who take their ballot Tuesday to the post office, should ask that it be given a hand cancellation stamp. A ballot with a postmark after Tuesday’s date will not be counted. Voters can also use one of the fifteen official ballot drop sites to assure their ballot is received on time and will be counted.
