MYRTLE CREEK MAN JAILED FOLLOWING TRAFFIC STOP

A Myrtle Creek man was jailed by deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, following a traffic stop on Thursday.

A DCSO report said at 11:30 a.m. a deputy stopped a pickup for several violations, in the 100 block of Boomer Hill Road in the Myrtle Creek area. The 28-year old driver allegedly refused to provide the deputy with his identification. The driver refused to exit his vehicle to be arrested. He was removed and detained after a short struggle.

The man was charged with resisting arrest and for failure to carry and present a license. He was detained without bail.
