Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man on charges of second-degree criminal trespass and resisting arrest Thursday evening.

A DCSO report said the 41-year old was confronted by another person and became involved in a physical altercation at South Umpqua High School in the 500 block of Southwest Chadwick Lane in Tri-City. The suspect had allegedly been talking to the other person’s juvenile daughter and friends about marrying them. After the incident was defused, the man was trespassed.

He returned later and was taken into custody at about 6:10 p.m. The suspect was detained without bail.
