A sedan wrecked along Interstate 5 on Sunday afternoon but the driver apparently left the area.

An Oregon State Police report said just after 12:30 p.m. the accident was reported in the northbound lanes near the Harvard Avenue interchange. Skid mark evidence suggested the driver was traveling at least 80 miles per hour. That was corroborated by an independent witness.

The report said the driver would be contacted and cited for careless driving. The vehicle was towed from the crash scene.
