Oregon Community Credit Union has announced that it is expanding by opening a branch in Roseburg.

An OCCU release said it will be located at 780 Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard, Suite 61. That is in the Garden Valley Shopping Center. Operations are slated to begin sometime this summer. The branch will be open Mondays through Saturdays.

The release said the full-service credit union will offer all traditional financial services, such as checking and savings accounts, auto, home and personal loans, financial planning, business lending and insurance services. In addition, the branch will feature both drive-up and walk-up video teller ATMs, which facilitate video calls to OCCU representatives to offer additional support and handle more complex transactions than traditional ATMs.

OCCU was founded in Eugene in 1956. The not-for-profit financial cooperative has more than 260,000 member-owners. Roseburg will be OCCU’s fourteenth branch and its first in southern Oregon.
