A Canyonville man was jailed on charges of strangulation-felony and second-degree disorderly conduct by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office early Sunday.
A DCSO report said just after 12:30 a.m. a deputy responded to the 100 block of Long Street in the Canyonville area and discovered a 28-year old man outside the residence. The suspect was allegedly yelling and aggressively causing a disturbance. The victim claimed the man put his hands over her mouth and nose causing her to not be able to breath for approximately 5-10 seconds.
The suspect said he did put his hand over the victim’s face. He was arrested and taken to corrections. The man was detained without bail.
