The Greatest of the Grape is happening Saturday night and tickets are still available.

The 51st annual event will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melrose Vineyards in Roseburg. The Greatest of the Grape is one of the oldest and most prestigious wine events in Oregon, attracting wine enthusiasts from all over the west coast and inland northwest.

It is hosted by the Umpqua Valley Wine Growers Association, with the goal of promoting the region’s wine industry and raising money for local non-profit Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

Over 18 wineries will be offering those attending the opportunity to taste a variety of award-winning wines – including Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Syrah, and Chardonnay, while enjoying gourmet foods. Those looking for more time to taste wine and talk to local winemakers can purchase a VIP ticket for early entrance to the event at 4:00 p.m.

In addition, guests will have the opportunity to bid on wine-related items in a silent auction and participate in a live auction featuring rare and exclusive wines. Music will be provided by Inoke, from Eugene.

General admission tickets are $90 with VIP tickets priced at $125.

Tickets for the Greatest of the Grape can be purchased online: https://www.umpquavalleywineries.org/, or in person at Melrose Vineyards. Updates will be on the event’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1272319073345822
