Roseburg High School has released graduation details for the class of 2023.
The ceremony will be held at Finlay Field at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday June 3rd. Gates will open at 8:30 a.m. to begin seating. Any blankets or items left before that to save seats, will be removed. Parking assistance will begin at approximately 7:45 a.m. with those gates also opening at 8:30 a.m. With the exception of the reserved area for board members and faculty, the parking spaces are non-assigned, and parking will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Speakers will be teacher Matthew Watson and student Hunter Fullerton.
Valedictorians: Avery Aasen, Kennedy Bayliss Hines, Holly Brewster, Makaela Carter, Ethan Clark, Jazmine Dake, Charlize Angelene Dela Cruz, Hunter Fullerton, Natalie Hall, Lily Howren, Colton Kohler, Jazynn Landeros, Cadence Parker, Coen Ramos, Jace Ramos, Conner Semrau, Levi Shumay, Isabella Snyder
Salutatorians: Alyssa Antonio, Emily Larson, Kasemsri Miehle
The release said in case of inclement weather the ceremony would be moved into the gymnasium which would then limit students to a maximum of four guests. This has not happened in over twenty years. However, if there is an issue with the weather, messages would be sent out to students and families via the One Call Now system, and to the local media.
Grad Night 2023, the drug and alcohol-free celebration for graduates will be June 3rd starting at 9:00 p.m. It will continue until 3:00 a.m. the next morning at the YMCA on Northwest Stewart Parkway.
