Douglas County voters should expect to see ballots in the mailbox soon, if not already, as the deadline to vote in the May Special District elections is about two weeks away.

Ballots must be returned to an official drop box site by 8 p.m. on May 16 or there is an option to return ballots by mail as long as they are postmarked by Election Day.

There are 15 drop box sites throughout Douglas County, including five in Roseburg. A full list of sites can be found HERE.

Hundreds of candidates have filed to run for numerous volunteer positions for special districts. Voters will also decide the fate of two measures, including a bond for the Roseburg School District.
