NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK RUNS THROUGH SATURDAY

April 27, 2023 3:40 a.m.

National Library Week runs through Saturday and City of Roseburg Mayor Larry Rich issued a proclamation for it earlier this month.

Rich said, “Libraries and librarians open up a world of possibilities through innovative programming and the power of reading”. Rich said, “Libraries serve people of all ages, interests and backgrounds, providing the resources and space to engage in literacy and lifelong learning”.

Residents can come to the library and apply for a library card, use computers, log onto digital platforms and check out materials. Library cards are free for Roseburg residents and $60 annually for most others.

The library is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
