The 17th annual Celebrate Children Day is happening this Saturday.

Sponsored by the Family Development Center, the event will be held at the Wildlife Safari Village from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The free community activity is for the entire family. Many organizations are participating and will have games, crafts, family fun, door prizes and more. Wildlife Safari will have animal presentations.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and the event is held to inspire hope and renew strength towards the difficult task of preventing child abuse and aiding families.

Parking at the village is limited and only allowed in designated places.
