Two people were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle wreck on Wednesday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just before 2:00 p.m. a 78-year old man from Elkton was traveling eastbound on Henderer Road in the Elkton area when his pickup crossed into the westbound lane in the 4600 block, A 44-year old man, also from Elkton, was traveling westbound in an SUV as the first vehicle drifted into his lane.

The report said the two vehicles met head-on. Airbags deployed in each vehicle. Both of the drivers were transported by ambulance. The vehicles were towed away.
