The Stewart Park Drive Bridge will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic during a maintenance inspection on Thursday April 20th.

A City of Roseburg release said the steel truss bridge known as the “Green Bridge” will be closed over the South Umpqua River from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. while an Oregon Department of Transportation contractor performs the inspection. The bridge may be open earlier if the work is completed sooner than expected, according to the Roseburg Public Works Department.

The 327-foot bridge, which was built in 1932 and 1933, links Stewart Park to Fire Grove Park. It is not to be confused with the nearby Stewart Parkway Bridge.
