Roseburg Police cited a man for depositing trash within 100 yards of a waterway on Tuesday.

An RPD report said just after 8:30 a.m. the 34-year old was contacted in his camp below the frisbee golf course off of the 1400 block of Northwest Stewart Park Drive. The suspect’s camp was spewing with what the report called “truckloads worth of trash, with a dump site over the riverbank near the water’s edge”. The camp was located about 25 feet from the bank of the South Umpqua River.

The woman with the man was cited for a dog leash law violation because her dogs were loose. The 36-year old was jailed due to a warrant and was cited for littering as well. The woman was issued trash bags and instructed to clean up her mess.
