FREEZE WARNING/FROST ADVISORY FOR CENTRAL DOUGLAS COUNTY

A Freeze Warning and a Frost Advisory is in effect from 2:00 a.m. through 8:00 a.m. Thursday for central Douglas County.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said for the Warning area, sub-freezing temperatures between 24 and 28 degrees are expected. For the Advisory area, temperatures of between 28 and 32 degrees are forecast. Frost formation will result.

The Warning area includes most of Douglas County including the cities of Elkton, Drain, Sutherlin, Camas Valley, Tiller and Azalea. The Advisory area applies to Roseburg, Riddle and Canyonville.

Forecasters said frost and freeze conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation, and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
