CITY COUNCIL TO HONOR VOLUNTEERS MONDAY NIGHT

The Roseburg City Council will honor volunteers during a meeting featuring a light agenda on Monday night.

Mayor Larry Rich will proclaim April as Volunteer Recognition Month. Notes from staff said volunteers include councilors and commission members, along with those that assist the city by efforts like planting trees in parks, cleaning up litter on trails, helping at special events, and many other activities. Several dozen people are listed as volunteers on council notes.

Rich will also proclaim April as Oregon Arbor Month and April 23rd through the 29th as National Library Week.

A Public Hearing will be held regarding the possible sale of foreclosed property in the 1400 block of Southeast Micelli Street. Councilors will also consider a resolution declaring property in the 400 block of Southeast Leland Street as surplus. Other items are on the agenda as well.
