ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED TELEPHONIC HARASSMENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man for alleged telephonic harassment on Thursday.

An RPD report said officers responded after a caller said there had been telephonic harassment in the 1600 block of Northeast Freemont Street. The 54-year old had been previously advised of telephonic harassment but allegedly refused to stop texting the victim. The suspect had allegedly sent the victim an estimated 30 text messages including an inappropriate video after he was told to stop contacting her.

The man was held on $2,500 bail and was released later in the day.
