Deputies with the Coos County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man for an alleged assault on Wednesday night.

A CCSO release said at 6:00 p.m. the dispatch center received a report that an assault had allegedly occurred at Lighthouse Beach near Coos Bay with the victim currently at Bay Area Hospital.

The report said a deputy met with the victim, who was being treated for injuries sustained in the assault. During the investigation it was learned, that the victim was allegedly held against her will for several days at Lighthouse Beach while being assaulted several times.

The deputy located the suspect, 41-year old Brian Donaldson in Lakeside at Lakeside Lodge. As a result of the investigation, Donaldson was charged with first-degree kidnapping, 4 counts of fourth-degree assault, 4 counts of strangulation, harassment, and menacing. Donaldson remains in custody in the Coos County Jail.
