Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged assault incident on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at about 7:45 a.m. dispatch received five calls regarding the 32-year old man’s alleged “tumultuous and threatening behavior” near the corner of West Harvard Avenue and West Madrone Street. The suspect allegedly threw a victim onto the ground and punched him in the eye, causing it to swell up.

The man was charged with fourth-degree assault and second-degree disorderly conduct. He was detained on $8,750 bail.
