WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY ABOVE 1,500 FEET

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 11:00 p.m. Monday evening through 11:00 a.m. Tuesday above 1,500 feet over parts of the region.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said 1 to 3 inches of snow is expected.

The Advisory area includes central Douglas County and its eastern foothills, and Jackson County. It applies to Butte Falls, Prospect, Toketee Falls and Highway 227 between Tiller and Trail.

Forecasters said drivers should plan on slippery road conditions. Elevations between 1,000 feet and 1,500 feet may see up to an inch of snow early Tuesday morning.

Drivers should slow down and allow extra time to reach their destination. Carry tire chains and be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities.
