Roseburg Police jailed a man for alleged criminal mischief on Friday.

An RPD report said at 11:00 a.m. 29-year old Nickolas Kaisershot was contacted after a caller said the man was cutting branches off a tree in the 800 block of Southeast Lane Avenue. Kaisershot admitted to cutting the branches along with some shrubbery in Eagles Park. He ran from officers after being told he was under arrest and fought with them once he was apprehended.

He was charged with second-degree counts of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, third-degree escape, and resisting arrest. Bail was set at $18,750.
