In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Umpqua Valley Arts is seeking vendors for its Summer Arts Festival.

The Early Bird Deadline for artist vendors is this Saturday April 1st. There are discounts and incentives for those that apply by this date. Artist vendors, community groups, and food trucks can apply to be part of the 54th annual event until May 15th. However, entertainment applications for both stages close on Saturday.

This year’s festival will run from Friday June 23rd through Sunday June 25th. It brings an average of 10,000 people from across the Pacific Northwest to celebrate art, culture and community. It includes up to 130 juried artist vendors, non-stop entertainment on two stages, a youth zone with free art experiences, a food court with countless culinary experiences, along with local craft beer and wine, and demonstrations by regional artists and makers.

UVA’s current operating hours are Tuesdays through Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Exhibits on display can be seen free of charge. Complete information at www.uvarts.com.
