VA ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF NEW EXECUTIVE MEDICAL CENTER DIRECTOR

The Department of Veterans Affairs has announced the appointment of Patrick A. Hull

Network Director Dr. Teresa Boyd said, “We are excited to bring on Mr. Hull as the permanent executive medical center director for the Roseburg VA Health Care System. His sound leadership qualities and proven experience will be valuable assets for the health care system, our employees, and the Veterans we are honored to serve”. Boyd said Hull’s start date will be April 9th.

A VA release said Hull currently serves as the associate director for the VA Western Colorado Health Care System, a facility serving 31,000 Veterans and 790 employees, which includes four clinics serving western Colorado and eastern Utah. Located in Grand Junction, Colorado, the facility’s budget consists of $132 million in general purpose funds and $70 million in VA Community Care funds. WCHCS offers acute medical, surgical, and psychiatric inpatient care and a full range of outpatient services. The facility currently holds 61 inpatient beds, five intensive care unit beds, and five emergency room beds.

The release said Hull hold’s a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and two Bachelor of Science Degrees in finance and marketing from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. He has a medical laboratory technology degree and is certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathology. During his career, he has held multiple positions, including regional health planning manager for a five-facility hospital system consisting of two state catchment areas, medical/surgical business manager, public affairs officer, executive assistant to the hospital CEO/COO, capital assets manager, activation/outfitting project manager for a health care facility replacement project, and assistant director of the Lovell Federal Health Care Center.

The Roseburg VA Health Care System provides services to Veterans at five locations in central and southern Oregon.
