WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING

March 27, 2023 4;00 a.m.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 5:00 p.m. Monday through 11:00 a.m. Tuesday above 2,500 feet for the south-central Oregon Cascades.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said 6 to 12 inches of snow is expected above 2,500 feet. Winds gusting as high as 60 miles per hour.

The Advisory area includes Crater Lake National Park, Highway 62 north of Union Creek and Highway 138 at Diamond Lake.

Forecasters said travel could be very difficult. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. The combination of strong winds and snow will result in reduced visibilities and occasional whiteout conditions.

Drivers should slow down and allow extra time to reach their destination. Carry tire chains and be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities.
