The inaugural Sutherlin Throwdown will be held Saturday and Sunday July 15th and 16th at Central Park.

The event will feature a BBQ competition, sanctioned by the Pacific Northwest BBQ Association, with up to 40 teams competing for $10,000 in prize money. The Southern Oregon Cornhole sponsored tourney will be taking place at the same time, with teams vying for a $5,000 purse. The third component is a Brew Fest with regional craft breweries offering beverages to pair with the BBQ. The festivities will culminate in a concert with rising country artist Jesse Leigh. Proceeds will benefit the Youth in Trades scholarship program.
