MYRTLE CREEK MAN JAILED FOR ALLEGED ASSAULT

Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man for an alleged prior assault on Wednesday night.

A DCSO report said just after 7:10 p.m. a victim said that the suspect had punched him in the face on March 20th in the 200 block of Homestead Drive. The 44-year old allegedly hit the victim on the side of the face causing him to have a bleeding nose and a chipped tooth. The victim later discovered that the assault caused two of his molars to crack.

The victim took pictures right after the attack and provided them to deputies. A deputy spoke with the suspect who admitted to the crime. The man was charged with fourth-degree assault and held without bail.
